OVERVIEW

Ok, ok, I’m wearing the jeans again. But if you know me, you know I hate wearing the same jeans two days in a row, so not only is this a big step for me, but it also tells you how much I love these jeans. I looooove the colors in this outfit. I mean, I’m counting this cognac as a color because of how saturated it is. Anyway, I love wearing it close to my face because it really brings out the warmth in my eyes and hair color. It’s like the browns of my features all come to life, which probably explains why I’ve been wearing this top all.the.time since I picked it up at the thrift store.

WEATHER

The rain really came down in the morning but cleared out in the afternoon. I was worried about being too cold with just a short sleeve t shirt on but I luckily spent most of my day in the warm indoors.

WHAT I DID

After a slow morning, Brandon and I went out for a morning coffee date at Identity. We came home and hung out before heading to Livermore for Brandon’s gig that night.

STYLING DETAILS

I wore my black denim (again) because it felt more appropriate for a night show than my light wash denim does. And because of my previously mentioned fear of being cold, I reached for a scarf again, this time a deep red and gold blanket scarf that my parents brought me back from their trip to France last year. I mixed up my classic half up, half down hairstyle (seriously, I’ve worn my hair like this basically my entire life) by braiding it back and securing it with a clip. I didn’t get a photo of them, but I wore my dainty twig necklace and a few bracelets, too.

I can already tell that I’m being more intentional about my accessories, hair, and makeup during this challenge. It’s so funny how quickly I gravitated back to these details to give my outfit an extra boost! I just hope I can keep this energy up through the rest of the challenge. Ha!

That does it for Day 2. I’ll see you tomorrow for Day 3! Check out Day 1’s look if you haven’t already!
